This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

By using our Site, you acknowledge that you have read this policy and agree to its terms.

2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

3. Personal information we collect

We collect only the personal information you voluntarily provide through our contact form, namely:

  • your phone number (if provided);

  • Booking platform: if you indicate that you wish to book a property, we may forward your contact information to the relevant property manager or booking platform in order to process your request.
  • Service providers: we work with providers who help us operate the Site (notably our web host). These providers only have access to your information to the extent necessary to perform their services.
  • Legal obligations: we may disclose your information if required by law or upon request from a competent authority.

7. Disclosure of information outside Quebec

Our Site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers may be located outside Quebec, including in the United States and Europe. Your personal information may therefore be stored or processed in those jurisdictions, which may offer a different framework for the protection of personal information than the one in force in Quebec.

Before disclosing personal information outside Quebec, we conduct a privacy impact assessment in accordance with section 17 of Law 25 and ensure that the information benefits from adequate protection.

8. Retention period

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or for any period required by law. Inquiries submitted through the contact form are typically retained for a maximum of 24 months, after which they are securely destroyed.

9. Security measures

We implement reasonable physical, organizational and technological security measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

In accordance with Law 25, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right of access: to obtain a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Right of rectification: to request the correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous.
  • Right to withdraw consent: to withdraw your consent to the collection or use of your information.
  • Right to portability: to obtain your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
  • Right to cessation of dissemination, de-indexing or re-indexing: in the cases provided by law.

11. Privacy incidents

In the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information as soon as possible, in accordance with Law 25.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable legislation. Any changes will take effect upon publication on the Site. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this policy.
